Had this lathe about a month

Had this lathe about a month now. Used it very much already and it is great! I don't get some of the reviews that I read prior to my purchase as mine is perfectly true, no slop or play, belt change simple, heavy solid unit. Does not vibrate or move at all on workbench surface. When you get it, it is covered with cosmoline which is normal, just take your time setting up and clean everything with alcohol.

You won't get more lathe for your money!

I bought it a month ago, with the MT2 taper there are many things you can add. Since it has been years since turning anything I was surprised at how easy it was to work with. I've turned several wine stoppers, pens and conductors batons. No issues and more than happy I have bought it. A great deal for your money.

No regrets here!!!

I was kinda worried about this little lathe before I bought it, but not any more! I love this little rascal, and it has plenty of power. I'm amazed at how solid this machine is, if you want a great lathe at a great price, grab this one.....

So much fun

I bought this lathe 4 days ago and I am having so much fun. I had to Craftsman lathe and it was made in 1970 and it was a lot of work. Now this lathe makes it a lot more fun. Before it was a lot of work but not now I enjoy it and it makes a nice product at the end. I was shopping for this for a long time and I decided to buy the Forestwest and I'm glad that I bought it. The employee there is very helpful. You can tell I love that store.

Extremely pleased with this lathe. Bought??

Extremely pleased with this lathe. It's a heavy, sturdy machine and I haven't been disappointed with it's performance at all. For the money spent, I don't know that you could beat this lathe. I wasn't too put out with the sparse instruction booklet. There are plenty of resources on the 'net and otherwise, plus I enjoyed simply getting in there and practicing turning items. Level of experience: new to turning, moderately experienced with a variety of power and hand tools.
